I know I’ve been talking a lot about skin care on the blog recently – but there’s not a lot of clothing purchases being made around here other than for a tiny human.

Getting a facial is always on my list of things “to do one day” but if I’m totally honest – it’s never going to happen. I have a hard enough time scheduling time to go to the supermarket (God bless ClickList).
Enter: the jade roller.
Back in 2017 it was all about Derma Rollers and poking at your face with tiny needles. Basically aerating your face like you would your lawn except way more painful in a, “hurts so good,” type of feel.
I’ve since jumped off that cringe-worthy bandwagon and joined the thousands of happy, glowy people taking a cold stone to their face and rolling it back and forth. Ahhh. Feels so good.

My toddler insists on trying it because, “Mommy, my skin is heavy” so if you experience the same, here’s your answer.

So the first love language we can hit is words of affirmation. The Bestie book is perfect for that because you fill in the blanks! As a word love myself, I can see where this would make someone feel truly special.
The cutie tea diffuser that hangs on the side of your mug is a great gift for someone who loves them. And the gold cord set, well it’s gold. So you’re winning no matter what their love language.
Four – these are bath bombs! They’re all the same size in real life, I just played around with them for the visual effect.
And they’re in all your favorite Bath and Body scents! I think this is a total tread YOURSELF gift (that I’ll be gifting myself in the near future).
They would fall in the physical touch or quality time category. We’ll let you interpret that however you want.
Gifts five six and seven are so cute! They’re all from Vera.
Let’s get creative and say they can all be filed under acts of service. Especially if you hold the umbrella over your loved one in the rain, fill their cup up with their favorite drink and fill out some forms for them with the pens…? We’re stretching it there.

You know Dayton was the first boy I ever spent Valentine’s Day with.
I was always a summer-dater who didn’t like the commitment once school started, so I didn’t have many relationships in the winter. But he changed that. And boy, did he win me over big time our first day of love together…
We got all dolled up to go on the river boat for a dinner cruise and in the parking lot before we went in, he hands me a gift. It’s a book that he had published that was the story of how we met. I had started the story as a way to survive while telemarketing (the worst possible job for someone like me who hates talking on the phone), and he picked up where I left off and got the whole thing published.
I mean…
To this day when I pass it on the bookshelf I’m still breathless at the thought and time that went into that.
Yadda, yadda, yadda 11 years later I had his baby ;)
I’m so excited to be mom to this little boy, but even more so I’m excited for him to have Dayton as his dad. To teach him things like how to impress a girl and how to treat her right.
