The One Tool You Need for an At-Home Spa Treatment

I know I’ve been talking a lot about skin care on the blog recently – but there’s not a lot of clothing purchases being made around here other than for a tiny human.

I’m working on a pregnancy/maternity looks post, but until then let me give you this amazing tip on the tool you NEED right now…

Getting a facial is always on my list of things “to do one day” but if I’m totally honest – it’s never going to happen. I have a hard enough time scheduling time to go to the supermarket (God bless ClickList).

So to ease my guilt of not taking proper care of my skin in my younger years and for continuing to put off the facial – I’ve decided to spend my money on products and tools that I can use at home on the regular.

Enter: the jade roller.

Back in 2017 it was all about Derma Rollers and poking at your face with tiny needles. Basically aerating your face like you would your lawn except way more painful in a, “hurts so good,” type of feel.

I’ve since jumped off that cringe-worthy bandwagon and joined the thousands of happy, glowy people taking a cold stone to their face and rolling it back and forth. Ahhh. Feels so good.

So what does this roller do? Let me just have the Fresh Kale website describe it…

This jade facial roller can be used from your forehead to décolleté to build a younger, firmer, stronger skin. + Aid and reduce the appearance of fine lines, puffiness, and wrinkles + Increase lymphatic drainage + Exercise facial muscles, detox and tone the skin + Improve elasticity of the skin, soothe irritated sensitive skin

Doesn’t that sound awesome!? Lymphatic drainage – heck yeah! haha

It has helped my under eyes be less puffy. And boy does it feel good rolling that smooth cold stone across your face. I don’t know why – but it does. It’s like the world slows down for a minute.

Here is how I’ve worked it into my routine to simulate a facial at home…

  1. Cleanse skin
  2. Apply a mask
  3. Rinse it off
  4. Pat a good facial oil in my hands and then onto my face
  5. Use the facial roller to roll the oil around all the places of my face, while simultaneously doing all of the above up there

The tube it comes in shows you just how to use it and which direction to go to so it’s completely fool proof.

My toddler insists on trying it because, “Mommy, my skin is heavy” so if you experience the same, here’s your answer.

I’m telling you this because you need one of these and since it’s less than $35 go ahead and grab one for your friend this Valentine’s Day! Go see the ladies at Fresh Kale Bath Company for yours – located right outside of JCP in West Town Mall!
