Arm Yourself for Battle

The only way to win a battle, is to go in completely prepared.

And we’ve done nothing but strap you down with sheilds and swords this week (metaphorically speaking of course), so there should be no warring with your wardrobe this summer. Read on…

(Remember those ten most reached for items we talked about earlier in the week…)
Any new purchases you make for your summer wardrobe should compliment at least two of those most reached for items. This will not only ensure you get your money’s worth out of what you’re buying, but it will also help you shop more quickly and decisively.

Do this, and if you can’t keep those ten peices in mind, take a picture of them (if you’re still walking around with a phone that doesn’t include a camera then shop somewhere further from your cave).

Before your next shopping trip, here’s a list of what to do…

1. Take a picture of ten items you reach for the most in warm weather (no shoes and no basics like black pants!)

2. Figure out if those pieces have anything in common…such as shape and/or patterns. If they have patterns or colors in common-buy out of that box. If they have a shape in common and it’s what you know is very flattering to your figure stay in that box but buy new colors/patterns

3. Try to buy something for this warm weather season you’ve never worn during warm weather before. Shorts, skirts, belly shirt (just kidding!), one piece that will liven up your whole look.

Don’t ever at all this season, loose the battle with your closet and panic about what you’re going to wear-prepare for war and shop smart!

Come back tomorrow for more ways to take the “war” out of your wardrobe!
