Look them in the eye.
InStyle did a survey and found that profile pictures where the subject was looking directly at the camera were viewed as more pleasing then when they were looking somewhere else.
Which proves it! We are still looking for the sensory satisfaction side of social interaction even though we spend most of our time looking people in the screen.

If you want to spiffy up your profile, take your picture and give that camera eye contact!
And for my own two bits…please avoid (at. all. costs.) letting people see that you’ve taken a picture of yourself. The mirror picture? Let’s avoid that like a discarded band aid.

Remember, we’re here to ensure you put out the spiffiest you possible and when I see that someone has obviously taken a picture of themselves, it doesn’t evoke, “Oo spiffy!”

Trust me, change it and you’ll thank me.
