When it comes down to the nitty gritty and you’re wondering what to buy to get you through the summer, try this: consider what you already own.  Do you have a lot of great shirts but they’re mostly sleevless? Think about getting a structured shorter sleeve jacket this will help especially if where you work doesn’t allow sleevless shirts.

A chic jacket will not only help you pull off summer dresses looking cool, but it will also help to keep your sleeveless tops in rotation giving you more options to choose from (for the most flattering fit in a jacket make sure that it hits no lower then your hip bone and is fitted right under your bust line).  Or you could go for a tank with a lightweight sweater and a belt it together with a skirt giving you another good option.
