Boutique Critique!

It’s that time again! Time to let you know what the spiff thinks about a store around our town (sorry for all you out of towners).

Fizz. Aside from it being the noise that your diet coke makes, it’s also a great little clothing shop located in Market Square.

It’s relatively new, and boasts a large array of clothes, jewelry, hair accessories, and even things to keep your male companion shopping while you are.

Fizz is not for the frilly at heart, most of it’s inventory has a background in punk, but what it lacks in super girly-ness it makes up for in really unique stuff.  Their clothes reminded me a lot of Francesca’s that urban girl kind of motif, and they have lots and lots of sparkly things that make you want to drop your womanhood and play dress up for a while.

Fun little knick-knacks are in abundance (also, much like Francesa’s) and here you’ll find everything accessory-wise from rings to beer box hats to umbrellas and embellished rubber bands.

Prices aren’t bad, I found one wing ring that I would have bought on the spot if it weren’t for my being spoiled by Forever21 prices.  The rings and most jewelry were around $20 and their clothing was in the $20-$75 range.  Like I said, if it weren’t for Forever21 I would consider it a deal, but once you’ve paid $5 for a ring, it’s hard to go back.

I will definitely keep this place as a regular stop.  The staff is always very friendly and the store smells like what I’ve secretly wanted my house to smell like but can’t ever achieve (and I don’t even think they do it on purpose, I think it’s just their stuff that smells so nice).

All in all, I don’t foresee my love for this place fizzling out :)
