New Resolve

I’ve already started on my resolutions (and my Christmas shopping by the way, so all I’ve got left if to get an Easter dress! ;)

My new resolution is to leave off, “Where did you get that?” from compliments.

I once saw a pair of the most fantastically elegant shoes on this very classy lady and in my fawning over how great they were like a 12 year old Jonas brothers fan, I asked her where she got them. The next couple of moments birthed my new resolve to hold back that question as often as possible, because you could tell that it was something she wanted to remain a mystery but was cornered by me in a very awkward moment.

I am profoundly against awkward moments, and sometimes get really great deals on things that look a lot more expensive then they actually are, which equals out to my resolve to not ask that question.

There are some exceptions to this rule, for those of you willing to jump on my moving band wagon. One is that you can ask family members and close friends (but try to do so when you’re not in front of a bunch of people) and you can ask complete strangers because that’s a pretty good compliment when you love something on someone so much you have to stop and ask them.

Mystery is always good when it comes to our clothes and hair and things, so lets help a sister out and not ask her to give her secrets up in front of other people.
