Cover Those Kardashians

I remember when the red carpet portion of the Oscar’s was a rated-R event.

This was back in the day when celebrity boobs were the most popular attendee to the event, and their date was always the dairy-air.
Thankfully, someone finally realized that when J-Lo shows up wearing less than a Kleenex it’s time to go the other direction. (Which was a bonus for me as a kid, cause I could finally watch them without my eyes being shielded).

Now days the mantra is-choose only one body part to show off. Still, not the sort of God-fearing advice we want to live by, but in moderation it works.

If you are wearing a skirt that is above your knee (and no higher than your finger tips, young lady!) then watch what you’ve got on up top. Do not pair that skirt with a tank top or a v-neck that goes un-Baptist-ly low.

If you are prone to wearing only one sleeve and you especially like it in dress form-make sure you’re legs aren’t the main focus of attention. Again, it goes back to that precious little gem of a word-balance.

Look at yourself in the mirror and make sure you are balanced in a non-floosey like way. We don’t want to see lots of leg, arm, and decollate (your neck area) all at once. Choose one that you want to highlight and go from there.
Especially as it gets colder, you don’t want to go out looking like you’re ready for your Pretty Woman-pre makeover audition.
