All Kale The Leaf

Sometimes my pun making abilities astound even me ;)

So this week we’re talking about foods that make us look better and today’s food is Kale. 

Kale is not unlike the strange kid that sits in the back of class, dresses darkly, and seems to be bitter about something.  Kale is a dark, bitter vegetable.  But unlike the kid in the back of class kale is good for you.

Granted, it’s the darker more bitter cousin to lettuce but it’s certainly good friends with the vitamins because it’s a grand precursor to them by helping our body absorb them better.

Really then it’s good for all of you especially if you take vitamins.  It’s also good for your hair, because as you will read tomorrow anything dark and leafy does your mane good.

If you’re wondering how to incorporate a relationship with kale, a way I like to eat it is by putting it in soups.  That way really all you taste is the soup and the bitter kale just kind of slips on through.
