When I first thought of writing a blog, one of the main reasons was because I was already pouring over fashion magazines for their information, so why not, I thought, bring that info to other people in my own way?
I get so much pleasure out of pouring over every detail in a fashion magazine, from the adds to the editor’s note-I read it all. And if one ever calls and asks me to write for them (without having to move, of course) I would stumble over myself trying to say yes as fast as possible because I love, love, love it.
This works out well if you’re the type of person who doesn’t have the time or care to spend the money on this sort of thing, because I’m happy to sift through it all and find the gems that will make your life spiffy!
One such gem I discovered the other night, when I noticed a box near the crease in Glamour that had tips on what to buy when.
It’s a note from Charlie Graham of shopittome.com (a website featured on this blog by the way) where she divulges the secrets of what retailers put on sale when.

Not sure why not every month is listed. I guess June, November, and December aren’t big sale months.
But it is nice to be in the know about this next time you need one of these items and plan to invest in something with a longer wear life then what you would get at Target.
