Over the holidays someone gave me a vase that I thought was just beautiful.
It’s not something that I would see in the store and pick out for myself, but now that it’s on my table, I’m in love.

It looks like my jewelry translated into home decor.

Which brings us to a resolution you may have, you might have spiffing up your house on your list of 2011 to do’s, if that’s the case, a good place to start is your jewelry box.

Look at see what you gravitate towards.  It could be inky black necklaces, colored beads, or classic pearls, those things can all easily translate into decor and in turn will translate “you” to the people who see your home. If you wear more gold pieces buy gold accented picture frames, or if you are more colorful there are plenty of places out there now that sell distinct/colorful home decor.

A good place for that around this town is Bliss located in Market Square.  There are plenty of places like Home Goods and Target that not only offer you a nice variety of things to choose from, but also do so at affordable prices so if you try out a piece and it doesn’t work you won’t break the bank in doing so.
