I can vaguely remember the first time I heard the word “blog”, I remember my thoughts went something like…? That was almost ten years ago, which also means I’ve been blogging for almost ten years (it’s not often I jump on board the first trend train, but this one I did).
Had you told me then that writing anything you wanted in your own little corner of the internet would have become such an unquestioned part of our social life, I would have been amazed.
Amazed, in part because I knew what I wrote (“Does he like me, or not!!”) and there’s no way I could have seen a market for that-strangers reading about other strangers love lives. Turns out, that’s not all people wanted to read or write about (and for that we Thank God).
Today, there is a blog for every conceivable subject out there. One such blog is great for those of you, who like me, have resolved to do more DIY’ing this year. I have on my goal list “learn to sow” and the blog “P.S.-I made this” is going to help me put that learning to good use.
There are step by step instructions all over that blog to help you make cool scarves, shirts, even vests, and it doesn’t stop with clothing you can make house stuff too. It’s a place I go to get myself pumped up about getting crafty.
You should go look at it, that way in another ten years when we’re doing some new verb you can say, “hey, remember when we used to read blogs?! hahaha!”
