The Science of Getting Dressed

There is a formula to Saturday dressing, and it is this…

You’ve got to look cute enough so that if you run into someone you know you’re not embarrassed, but not so cute that you waist a good outfit on the off chance you might run into someone you know.

It’s a formula I’ve based off of the law of looking bad (this is literally as scientific as I get).
The law of looking bad is any object that thinks it’s going to run out to the store really quick in curlers or with bad hair/no makeup will collide with another object that they know, if not more than one object of equal or great importance.

I’ve tested this law, and the law has always won.

Saturdays are the absolute perfect day to try out clothes you’re not crazy about, but aren’t yet ready to part with.

And it’s a great litmus test because if you don’t think an article of clothing is cute enough to wear out the door on a Saturday, then you’re certainly not going to wear it any other time.

Make a pile of clothing that you’re not sure of, and cycle them through on Saturdays. It’s genius really. Maybe I should dabble in science more often ;)
