If you have a Dixie Stampede in your town, you should definitely go. When I was 13 my family decided to go and I complained for months because I thought it was going to be the dumbest thing ever (I’m sure that’s where my reasoning ended).

So begrudgingly I went…and had the best time ever! I loved it, and you can be sure that my dear loving family never threw in my face how much I complained about going for so long. Sweet things.

Thankfully, I never voiced my disdain for Bare Minerals to anyone because if I had, they too would not throw it in my face now that I think it’s pretty awesome.

Probably for the first time ever, I got my makeup done by someone other then a MAC professional. It was with Bare Minerals and it was impressive. Their bronzer, for one, is the perfect shade. I don’t know why every other bronzer company has gone red-happy and puts such a red hugh in their product but they do-I’ve tried a lot and every summer I end up red-faced and frustrated.

Bare Minerals, however, matched my tan skin perfectly. My make up was done in the early afternoon for an evening event, and every time I went to the mirror to fix whatever was wilting-there was nothing to do! It stayed put, looking fresh and “dewey” the whole day. As I said, (and have never said out loud to the contrary) it is amazing.

As part of the package I was given an eye shadow that I’m currently over the moon for. It’s super sparkly and goes on perfectly in one swipe. I know, you’re Pre-Dixie Stampede me right now and thinking “there’s now way!” But it does-one swipe and I’m good to go and it too stays put for such a long time.

They have made a believer out of me! But of course, I certainly never doubted them :)
