If at First You don’t Succeed-Try it on Again

When I read over the notes I made while cleaning out my closet, I started to notice a trend. “Try it on” was written about 14 times.

This is because it’s so important to know what you want to keep in your closet so that everything you pull out is you, it works, and is fresh; and you can’t get to that place until you try everything on.

It’s a rare event that I have anything in my closet with the tags still on (meaning I’ve worn it, or have a plan to wear it). It’s aliens landing on earth-rare that I’ve got anything with a tag in there for over a year, which I did until I cleaned out my closet.

I bought this cute top over a year ago and liked it solely because of the way it fit (I was ok with everything else, but the way it hangs is just perfect). But I’ve never worn it, and that’s because I tried it on in the store, bought it, but never bothered to try it on again at my house with my other clothes around to pair with it.

On the day I cleaned out my closet, I made an outfit out of it and now I can’t wait to wear it.
It went from “shirt I might give away” to “fancy outfit ready for the next big event”!

I know you’re getting tired  so excited to hear this again so I’ll repeat myself-try everything on!
