How to Dress Your Butt Away

As much as I love shopping, and finding that one item that’s going to transform my little world, I do not look forward to dressing room time.

First of all there’s the act of trying things on: not only do you have to dismantle yourself but you also have to wear whatever you’ve got with whatever you’re trying on, so those sweat pants had better compliment the sparkly top or you’ve better have a good imagination.

Then, of course, your hair never comes out looking as great as it did when you went in. BUT if you pass through those drapes with the greatest little ditty that will power surge your closet then it’s all very, very worth it.

A good way to bypass the whole guessing game (or even the dressing room if you’re daring enough) is to know what works on your body before you even go into the store.

Remember: balance. is. key.

You want to hide your bum? Then bypass the pants with flaps on the back pockets-or sell it as ad space because all it’s doing is adding billboards to your backside.

On the other hand, if your trunk is lacking in junk those types of pants will do your bum wonders.

Good news if you’re an A-line skirt/dress fan-those flatter any figure, so go crazy.

If you want detailed answers, there are many books out there that tell you what works best for your figure, but as far as I’m concerned the best is the InStyle Guide book: they go through every possible article of clothing, ie: coats, dresses, shirts, pants, and talk about what looks good with what figure for each of them.

Remember balance yourself out, and make sure to wear things that draw the eye away from the areas you want to hide.

Thanks for reading! Come back every Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday for more ways to spiff yourself up :)
