Crushed Dreams and Velvet

2-the number of bags you have packed after going through your closet.

One is for the clothes you’re going to give away.

And the second one is for clothes you could possibly revisit, or can’t let go of just yet.

These pieces you’re going to put out of sight to see if they’ll stay out of mind. (I read this, looked around my house and thought “where in the world am I going to ‘store’ this bag of clothes I’m waiting to see if I like or not? So maybe a better idea is to move them to the least accessible spot in your closet, this way you don’t have to find extra space in your house.)
If they do stay out of mind, go ahead and give them away at your next 6 month closet clean (right, right).  If they end up being missed, then rekindle love once lost and throw them back into rotation. In reality, I think that the purple crushed velvet dress you’ve been holding onto “just in case” isn’t going to look as good as it used to, but go ahead and hold onto it. You never know when the “Saved by the Bell the College Years” look is going to come back.

After reading this, I think my “just in case” pile is getting too big. I need to get rid of a lot…
