Ok, you’re going to have to pay close attention to today’s spiff, so take another sip of coffee and settle in…

Our brows are a very important part of our face.  Just ask my parents.  When I was 12 and new to the makeup world, I accidentally over plucked and thought that drawing my brows back on with black eyeliner would do the trick. Needless to say…I looked pretty angry.

So how do we find the perfect eyebrow shape? Unlike finding our bra size, there’s an exact equation to it.  All you need is a straight edge, like a pencil, and your face. I know you’ve got a pencil, so go get your face.

Ok so to determine where your brows should begin-a very good place to start-take the pencil and line it up along the outer edge of your nose and go straight up.  That’s the spot they should start (in the diagram that is represented by the letter D).  To determine where your brow should end, take the pencil and hold it diagonally from the outer edge of your nose all the way to the end of your eye (letter F).

Now arches are very important, because they are pivotal in the brows job of framing your face.  To find out where your eyebrow should arch take the same pencil, place it again along the outer edge of your nose and this time cross it diagonally going through the pupil of your eyes (NOT literally).  This step is a lot like the last one, but instead of taking the pencil to edge of your eye you take to the center of your pupil.  Now looking at the diagram I see that they figured out where the arch should be a different way, my way is faster and involves little to no geometry :)
