Confession:

My name is TheSpiff Dot Com and I was a bra abuser.

It started when I was in 5th grade. I needed my bra to be clean and the only way I could get it to be what I wanted was to wash it with the rest of my laundry. Little did I know that was only the beginning.

From that point on up until about three years ago I had been slapping bra’s around in the washer once a week. I even started stuffing them in drawers and wearing them whenever I felt like it, thinking they would be as fresh as ever.

Finally, someone opened my eyes to what I was doing and how detrimental it was to not only the bra’s but to myself.

I am proud to say that I’ve fully recovered. I no longer look at bra’s as a means to look good, I see them as objects to be cared for. I either hand wash them now, or if I do wash them in the washer, I make sure they’re secure in themselves by putting them in a delicate’s bag (that you can get at WalMart for $2!).

Every night I make sure that they are not sitting around twisted in their drawer, but are placed properly straightened out so that when I need them they will look good. And I have come to realize that a bra needs to rest so that it won’t get stretched out, so if I wear a different bra everyday giving each one a chance to rest.

My eyes have been opened to the fact that when I first get a bra I need to hook it on the loosest hook but help it along as it gets older by hooking it on the tightest, giving me and my bra the care and comfort we deserve.

Learn from my mistakes, and don’t be a bra abuser. They deserve better and so do your boobs.
