Three Spiffy Things

Last Thursday I collapsed into bed with my laptop and worked until my head was bobbing too violently. The day had not gone as I had planned. Not. At. All.

The crazy thing was I never once got in the car. We were in the house for a full 24 hours – which is one of my favorite kind of days! As I got in the shower that day, I started to go over in my head everything I had gotten done, and it was quite a list. I just didn’t do it in the order I would have liked, which sounds crazy now that I type it out. Anyone relate?

Anyway, this week has started off much better. I’m not just reacting to problems, I’m getting to plan a bit. So instead of writing about things that I’m using to spiff myself up, two of these things are in the plans. Enjoy!

Makeup Setting Spray

I’ve written about this before (here) in fact I’m certain I’ve written about it every summer for the last three years. Which goes to show you, if you’ve been reading this blog for a while and you still don’t own it WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH YOUR LIFE.

It’s cooling, it’s refreshing, and when I’ve run from work to band practice and then straight to a dinner with family, it’s a 10 second “me” moment that makes my face feel fresh again.

Jewelry Organizer

I’ve been searching for the perfect way to organize my necklaces. Unfortunately right now they’re all still rolled up in the bed sheet I taped them to as I hurriedly packed our bedroom after the movers arrived at our apartment. :-|

Have I enjoyed untangling them every time I go to wear one, or searching within the folds of the blanket for necklaces I may have forgotten about? HECK NO.

I can’t use one of those jewelry mirrors because I have too many necklaces, nor can I afford an idea/project that involves too much of my husband’s time or else I’ll, well I’ll be untangling necklaces for a long time.

This is a towel rack and shower curtain hangers. I can do that, Home Goods can help.

Go here for full instructions on how to set it up.

Sea Salt Spray

After having discovered the wonders of a curling wand, I have not let my hair do it’s natural wave thang in a while.

I have a feeling I’m going to need to give it some time and a few trys to remind it of its free flowing glory days, and this sea salt spray will help (as will the onslaught of humidity we’ve had as of late).

With this spray you just get out of the shower, towel dry, sprits some sea salt in your hair and go!
