Heaven for me will include writing about clothes, makeup, hair, so getting to do it here on earth is a beautiful thing.

One Tall, Half-Caf Compliment Please!

If we could bottle the feeling that comes with wearing a new shirt AND getting a compliment about it (with an added shot of vanilla), we’d put Starbucks out of business.

Until that day comes, however, what if we looked at giving a compliment as sowing a seed?

Think back to the best compliment you’ve ever gotten (I’ve got a running list of my favorite top ten *sheepish grin*) and if you can also recall the feeling that came following that compliment, think about how great it would be to give that feeling to others.

Let’s break out of our box of thinking that getting compliments is what we get dressed for, and walk out the door with the resolve to pay attention to others and tell them what we like about what they’re wearing.

If you aren’t in the business of noticing clothes, this will help you pay attention and might even inspire some good outfit ideas when you do.
