Putting the “E” in Beauty

Saw a commercial the other day that starts off by showing you a raw piece of bacon. “This is your skin,” the announcer says, then the picture cuts to bacon being fried up in the pan. “This is your skin in the sun, any questions?”

Yeah, where can I get some bacon?

The summer sun talk is definitely not my favorite, because there can be a balance to your time in the sun. Just because a ray of light has hit your skin doesn’t mean you’re going to shrivel up and die.

However, it would be a good idea to start taking care of that one garment you wear all the time-your skin.

And a good way to start doing that would be to incorporate Vitamin E.

This vitamin should be especially near and dear to the hearts of sun lovers as it helps prevent sun damage and encourages cell regeneration.

A good source of this bad boy is found in sunflower seeds, and almonds.
Other foods that are good for your skin are nuts, green tea (well hello again!), fish, whole wheat and protein.

It looks like a steady diet in all of that will have us looking like super heroes!
