Festive Fancy

Twas the weekend before Christmas…

I tried to go with a whole rhyme thing there, but the only words the rhyme with “closet” are “composite” and “deposit” and that doesn’t work.

Anyway…“Festive attire” is probably in the top ten of the most confusing phrase in the English language. But the good news is, any party that gives you those parameters is barely giving you parameters at all.
If you’ve got somewhere to be that requires of you “festive attire” have no fear, all this mean is business casual (and in my book, means sparkles are acceptable!).

It’s a great way to play with new styles or layer sparkly tops under shear ones!

I love, love, love winter/holiday dressing because there’s so many options this time of year! Sleeveless is acceptable as is long sleeve and shorts (over tights of course), there’s just so much to choose from!

If you want a slimming effect, go with dark pants, and a long sweater and long sparkley necklaces-this will create an elogated effect.
If you want long legs, go with a skirt and black tights with black shoes-that will make your legs look miles long.
If you want attention off your arms go with a sweater or jacket that goes to your elbow and a v-neck top. That will draw attention to your face and neck (adorned with a pretty necklace-yeah?!)

If it’s not a sit down dinner remember to keep the shoes comfortable!

Have a very merry weekend before Christmas!!
