Don’t Throw the Maxi out with the Bathwater

Just because days are getting shorter (yay!) and nights are getting cooler (yay! Yay!) doesn’t mean your summer wardrobe has to start it’s hibernation.

One of the millions of beautiful things about fall is that it’s a layering kind of season. Things like maxi dresses are the perfect layering piece.

Today, for example I am wearing one of my most favorite dresses as a skirt. It’s a jersey material so I could live in this dress, but the halter top is way too inappropriate for work-cue a simple white t-shirt and necklace and wa-la! I’m a happy/comfy camper.

Add a scarf and some short boots and I’m a warmer/happier/comfier camper. See where I’m going with this?

A simple jacket over a maxi will also do the trick as fall approaches, just make sure that the print of your dress doesn’t say “luau party” and you’re good to go.
