Fancy Dresses for Every Occassion

This spring I need to make fast friends with someone who once owned a dress factory and wears the same size I do (oh and there’s that little thing of having my exact taste as well).

Improbable? Yes. Good thing there’s a new store in the mall that can fulfill my every dress need.

Princess Diaries is open in the men’s Belk wing of the mall (down there past The Limited), and they’ve got a wide array of dresses.

But I don’t want to spill all the beans right here.

Here’s a little teaser… ;)

The “It” Bags for Spring

Am I alone in the love/hate relationship I have with spring cleaning?

I love the feeling of starting fresh and getting everything purged, but in the middle of it I sometimes wish I was back in my cozy nesting feeling from winter where everything that was cluttered looked cozy. And everything that was a darker color seemed to warm your soul.

Now it’s like GET IT OUT. The switch has been flipped, it’s time to freshen up!

Let’s start with something easy and fun like our bags.

Even though we may still be wearing our winter coats, we can lighten up the whole look with a fun new spring purse.

Here are five great options on my latest Style Setter blog.

And just because I can’t resist, here’s a picture of my favorite…

Cute Coach bag!

But there’s one thing that makes this bag SUPER unique and adorable. Click on over to find out what that is, and what the other four options look like!

First Day of Spring Essentials

Happy first day of spring!

It’s exciting to enter a new season, especially when it’s so different from the last one. What excites me about spring is it means we’re only 6 months away from fall ;)

I’ve put together a great little list of things that would freshen up your wardrobe this season. You can use it as a packing list for now (or later), or keep it as a reminder of what you need to stock up on now that the days will begin to grow warmer.

Either way, take a 2 minute va-cay and check out my latest Style Setter blog!

How I Styled Floral and a White Leather Jacket

When I say that a white jacket is going to carry you through this awkward spring/winter transition and how you should really get one, I mean it.

The perfect white leather jacket
How to style a floral shirt

I’ve been shopping around for a white leather jacket to add to some ensembles I had in mind, and I finally found the perfect one.

White, floral and gold

The funny thing is, I tried this same jacket on in a medium and thought it was ok. It wasn’t until I went back and tried the small size on (only because the medium one was gone) that I really fell in love with it.

What you have to watch out for with shorter jackets like these, is you don’t want the sleeves to feel too big. Because the back of the jacket is so short, I like to make sure that the sleeves don’t go all the way down to my wrists so that it has a shrunken look overall.

If not, it just looks to me like you have gigantor arms, and no one wants to look like they have gigantor arms, right?

I’m just so happy to have found this as it was the perfect dose of edge to add to this floral pattern shirt and pink skirt. Speaking of which, lets all pause and take note of the fact that I purchased not only a pattern that’s not stripes or animal print, but also it’s a floral.

I picked it up at Forever21, by the way. They have so many different styles that you’re sure to find one you’ll like!

The Instantly Slimming Dress You Want Right Now

All of what you’re about to read is coming from a very recent dress convert.

I used to think dresses were a terrible idea, because it forced you into finding the one article of clothing that will fulfill your every outfit expectation (and let’s face it, I have a long list of those).

But then I discovered some really great dresses, and I realized how nice it is to be able to throw just one piece on and boom, you’re done.

I also realized that by adding a jacket, or sometimes a top (turning the dress into a skirt) meant that you could still get multiple looks out of the one piece…making my inner stylist very happy.

If you’ve already developed a love for dresses, or if you’re still on the fence I believe this dress will make you happy. Because this dress can make everyone happy.
