Why This Works

Whether you go all out on Thursday or not, it’s fun to add a few new things to your look this week just for the sake of being different.

My costume required I purchase bows. I’m not a bow wearer at all. I’ll go so far as to avoid items with bows just because they are not at all the image I want to convey.

You may be different. You may love bows. You may know how to tie your hair in a giant bow and wish you could do it everyday. That’s totally your prerogative. The important thing is that you know where you stand, because you’re confident in what you love and who you want to present to the world.

Today, however, I’m giving bows a chance. Maybe I’ll finish the day rethinking my stance against bows, or maybe I’ll realize there’s something small about them that I like and do bows my way.

The point is to know who you are, but don’t be so afraid to try something different every once in a while.
