To Make a Short’s Story Long

There are pro’s and con’s to every length of leg.

I happen to be well acquainted with both the pro’s and con’s of long legs, and while it’s great to be able to fit in maxi dresses no problem it’s not so great to look like Daisy Duke with most short’s lengths.

My source tells me that if your dressing for long legs, go for a high wasted short, which in the real world, I feel, is really hard to pull off.

So I’m going to go with what works best for me…I give all items that don my legs and go above the knee the finger tip test. My shorts/shirt/dress have to fall at least an inch below my finger tips. At least. Because with long legs, you always look like you’re wearing something scandalously short. Stick with that test though, and you won’t look like you’re a street walker.

Go for softer shapes like cargo’s that tie at the end, or my favorite this summer-the longer almost Bermuda length that are rolled at the end. These, to me are perfect. In the past in order to get shorts that were a good length I had to buy several sizes up, which made them end up looking poofy.

With the denim kind (like the J Brand Jeans version pictured here) you don’t get all that unnecessary bulk, but you do get the versatility and coolness of shorts.

And with long legs it’s important to stay looking cool, because you’ve got miles of gorgeous gams to flaunt!
