Re re Returns!
Being a veteran of the customer service counter, I know just what it’s like to be on the receiving end of all kinds of return aggression from customers.

To save yourself from becoming one of the days, “you’ll never believe what this customer did” stories, here are some store policies and tips on how to get what you need if what you get on Saturday isn’t…

Let’s start with Target. Partly because their return policy is pretty common among stores, and mainly because I spent 3 1/2 years of my life explaining it to people.
If the gift giver does not give you a gift receipt (be sure to do that unto others by the way), then when you take it back the best they can do for you usually is give you back whatever the item is worth currently. So if it’s gone on clearance, then that’s what you get.  The chances of that though are highly unlikely.  What you will have to bank on is that they will only give you store credit.

The good news about this is if you can’t find something for yourself you could always start next years Christmas shopping!

The most lenient return policies are places like Kolhs and WalMart, they’ll return anything.  The most hard core policies are Forever21 and Burlington Coat factory, who will only give you store credit even if you’ve got four proofs of purchase.

Remember, a soft answer turns away wrath but grievous words stir up anger. You’ll get a lot father if you’re nice. :)

Merry Christmas!!!!!
