Putting the “War” in Wardrobe

Even if you love shopping, going out and searching for an outfit to wear to a really important event on a time crunch is about as fun as waxing.

It’s stressful, it’s time consuming, it’s a war between you, retailers, and the clock.

Why not preempt your opponent by going shopping in your closet?
Get in there find something and try it on.

I did this, and found that one shirt I’ve been saving for years is a lot shorter than I remember. Because of that it’s been reassigned as a vest to go over a button down.

Another blouse was too long, so I pulled out a skirt tried them on together with the longer blouse tucked in, and wha-la! I had a perfectly good, never before worn outfit. It didn’t cost me a dime.

It takes a small investment of time to save yourself stress. Now, especially that the weather is changing, is a great time to try on last years cool weather wardrobe. This way you can have accurate pictures of what works in your head, which will make for easier outfit creating in a time crunch.

Be the victor, try things on.
