Muy Cal-eye-enti!

“Women don’t sweat they glisten.”
That’s cute. Apparently the author of that phrase lived in Alaska because when the heat index is 103 outside I’m not glistening, I’m shedding enough water to grow a small tomato plant.

The good news is, our eyes don’t have to contribute to the water reserves they can be as cool and as beautiful as when we first put on our shadow.  So here’s the spiff…

Bobby Brown (the makeup artist not the crack addict) suggests an eye shadow that goes from cream to powder.  This kind will stay put no matter what kind of sticky weather situation you find yourself in.  Powder tends to flake and will definitely smudge if you happen to wipe your eyes, but the cream to powder has better staying power.

Another conundrum solved is what color to use if you’ve got a burned face.  I, for one, have experienced my fair share of fiery complexions and was happy to hear that if you go with brown or bronze colors on your lids it will help compliment your new skin tone.  Definitely stay away from applying any pinks or reds in this condition as it will only make people who look at you call 911.

And remember, just like with your foundation this summer keep everything looking light.  You don’t want to pile it on and not look fresh.  The key is keep it light, keep it airy, and never let them see you or your makeup sweat!
