How ’bout the Cool Cyrus Polish We’re Having?

Three things that get my conversational juices flowing:
1. Weather
2. The fall of Miley Cyrus
3. Beauty Products

Number one right now especially because I have so much to say about not having a winter; number 2 because I think it’s sad/ridiculour (sariculous!) that she had such a strong following then decided to “grow up” by becoming more sexy and yet still all those little girls look up to…never mind.

Number three because it’s so much fun to talk about what products work best because other people may have insight into great finds that you don’t know about! It’s like with restaurants, I’m always happy to have a friend try a new one before I do, so that I can go confident that I’m not waisting a good meal.

After this week, you won’t have to worry about waisting a good amount of cash on products you’re not sure about. Because lets face it, sometimes reviews are made up of equal parts lovers and haters so it’s hard to judge by them sometimes.

Starting the week off, is L’Oreal’s Mascara, Extreme Volume in black-to be precise. I picked this brand up, one because Maybelline had angered me with clumpy lids too many times, and two because I had a coupon :)

I’m pretty easy to please in the mascara department, it’s actually the one beauty product I hate putting on. And coming from someone who would put makeup on just for the sheer creativity of it, that’s saying a lot. This stuff is pretty pleasing. It goes on easy, allows you to layer up nicely, and never clumps.

Even at the end of the day when I’m refreshing, I can go over just the tips of my lashes and it doesn’t mess itself up and actually looks good. It doesn’t leave black crumps all over my face, and it gives me pretty good volume. As far as EXTREME volume goes, I wouldn’t say that. But it does come off quickly and easily which is probably my biggest pet peeve about Maybelline-that stuff seemingly reproduces all over my face!

I would give it a 8 out of 10 for drugstore mascara’s. And I would probably buy it again, even without a coupon!

Come back all week for more chats about the products we love, and if you want to make it a conversation, email me at thespiffblog@gmail.com!
