Fire in My Shoes!

The key to being spiffy is doing it with confidence,
The key to being confident is feeling good about yourself,
The key to feeling good about yourself beings with working out.

That’s right.

There is nothing, NOTHING I tell you, like the feeling after a good work out. It’s like a shower for your insides. And if you’ve never experienced it, work at it until you do.

I like to keep that feeling in mind when I’m having a hard time putting on my sneakers, because if you think of the end result feeling and not how you feel right now (which would involve a sprawled out on the couch position) then you’re more likely to get with it.

But that’s not what this post is about, it’s about motivation in the middle of the work out.

If you are half way through and you’re wanting to quit, or your to your normal stopping point but you want to push pass that and go further, find a song that pumps you up and GO!

For me, that song it “We Shine” by Fee. That song, no matter what part of my run I’m on, will trigger some chemical in my brain and give me an energy shot like nothing else. Especially when I picture myself in a crowd jumping my face off- I can go an extra 10 minutes off that feeling alone.  It’s awesome.

You can steal my song if you’d like, or find your own! But make sure it’s one that gets you pumped no matter what you feel like. Do that, and you’ll go longer, better, faster, stronger!
