Born to be Semi-Wild

I hate this next sentence, but I couldn’t think of another way to start this post off…
I saw a lot of animal prints on the runways for fall.
The reason I hate that is going with the trends goes against every fiber of my being. My philosophy is, go with what you like and if what you like happens to coincide with what’s out there then so be it.
I don’t think I’ll ever stop loving animal print (nor will I live a day in my life without bangs) so whether they’re “in” or “out” you can be sure to find it in my closet and on my face (the bangs, not the animal print).
If you love it too, or if you’re ok with it but not wild about it (haha “wild”, get it?) then you can always consider letting it peak out under other layers.
Animal print under a white shirt, under a denim jacket or blazer, for example is a great way to incorporate the print without looking like the zoo threw up on you.
Even an animal print cami under a v-neck shirt with just the hint of it around your neck is a good replacement for a necklace as it still gives you that pop of color and pattern.
I guess the main (or mane-haha! I’m on FIRE) thing to remember is that it doesn’t have to take center stage it can be an accent. And it can be a very flattering accent if you pair it under a jacket because that gives you a focal point that creates a thin line making you appear slimmer.

See, animals aren’t just pretty faces :)
