Every year Allure magazine puts out a list of the best beauty buys in the business.

This year instead of buying the magazine I downloaded the free app *grins* which is beautiful because it’s like..no, not like, IS a shopping list on the go. No more standing in drug store isles reading every detail of the back of two bottles, Allure has done all the work for us.

So this week on the spiff, we’re going to be featuring our favorite picks from their list of the best-it’s the Best of the Best (the app, by the way, allows you to store your favorites so you can easily see what’s on your list to buy)!!

Beginning with Mascara. There are enough mascara options out there to write a comedy routine around. Do you want to “define” your lashes, giving you the ability to see through each one? Or do you want your lashes to be “volumized” so that you may blink pom pom’s? How bout a lengthening mascara? Which makes me think of the cartoons when a girl would blink her eyes and her lashes would reach out and give a “come here” hand gesture to the boy. Now that’s what I’m talking about.

According to Allure, Maybelline’s “The Falsies Volum’ Express” mascara is the absolute greatest out there, giving you the best kind of formula combined with the best kind of brush. Win, win.

That way you can blink pom, pom’s AND get your lashes so long they reach out and tell boys to “come here” PERFECT!
