4 Summer Hair Dont’s

With everything that happened over the weekend and the week leading up to it, I thought I’d go easy on myself and re-share these four hair don’ts from last year.

They are good to be reminded of now that we’re in full view of summer, so take a minute to read them over…

1. Don’t put off scheduling an appointment.
Schedule your next appointment before you finish your last one, that way it’s on the calendar and you don’t have to think about it again till they give you the reminder call. No one ever thinks of getting a hair cut until it’s an emergency. Schedule ahead of time.

2. Don’t settle for an average hair dresser.
Get yourself down to Barnes and Barnes on Market Square and schedule an appointment. Done. Check. They’re awesome from start to finish.

3. Don’t forget how you wear your hair all summer.
If you let it air dry and go wavy all summer-think about layers. They’re going to make wavy styles more full and easier to accomplish. If you wear your hair up a lot all summer, layers might hinder this because short pieces won’t stay up. Think about these things as you go in for your next appointment. Knowing what you need ahead of time will save a lot of frustration in the end.

4. Don’t be scared.
I watched as my hair dresser cut huge chunks of hair from my head this last time, but you know, I wasn’t the least bit scared. I knew that he knew what he was doing, and so I just sat back and thought of all the ways I knew I was going to like the hair cut. And you know what? I don’t like it. I LOVE IT.

Easy breezy beautiful summer hair isn’t an impossibility. Sit down and talk to your hair dresser (after you schedule an appointment) and see what will work best for you. It will keep you in a happy mood all summer long!
