Thank You

Welcome to the newly revamped TheSpiff.com!

After four years and 1,000 posts, it was time for a makeover. And even though I was so proud of the old site, like that gray t-shirt I’ve had since high school, it was time to let it go and get something new.

Be sure to check out all the tabs and categories. Now you can more easily get to specific posts about fashion and beauty by clicking on the tabs at the top, or you can search by category through the box on the right hand side.

Also, you can spend your lunch break watching videos by going to the video tab. There you’ll find a library of my segments on the FOX morning show. I know, your lunch hour will be ten times more fabulous. You’re welcome.

My purpose for writing this blog continues to be grounded in the fact that I want to see women walk confidently in who they were created to be. We all have a reason to hold our head high and walk with our own swagger, because we are loved by God and created in His image.

One of the biggest things you can do to boost your confidence is to watch how you respond to compliments.

I cringe every time I hear a women respond to a compliment with things like, “Oh this is old.” Or, “It’s the only thing in my closet that doesn’t make me look fat.” No! If you’re receiving a compliment, don’t respond in a way that makes the person giving the compliment feel awkward or sorry for saying something nice to you.  Just say, “Thank you.”

Own what you’re wearing. Own who you get to be. If you don’t like what you put on, change it. But until you do, wear it proudly. A confident, “Thank you” makes both you and the person giving the compliment feel good.

There you have it, my first official post on the new spiff.com!

Thank you so much for reading and being a part, I truly hope that you’re able to learn new ways to spiff up your style five days a week.

Because everyday IS a spiffy day!
