Star Wars Gifts – Love Them They Will

wbir,

My plan was to do the Yoda thing at one point during my segment, but throwing the verbs at the back of the sentence messes with my MIND. So I figured it would be best to scratch it since it was live TV and all.

Wow, did I have some great stuff to talk about today. It was so fun doing this segment. Even though I’m not a Star Wars fanatic, all of this stuff looks fun. And I can’t say that I’ve had so many things go wrong with my display during a segment before, but it made for a good time ;)

Check out the video from my segment here.

As someone who isn’t big into drones or Star Wars, I still find this thing to be something I really want to play with. I’m sure the Star Wars/drone lover would freak out of their skin. Here’s a link to the Force Band I mention in the segment as well.

And some things I didn’t get to show is all the Star Wars items for kids! GAP kids has an amazing collection of things for the little ones to show off… (They also have some great Disney stuff for the little girls).

Go by and check it out! Right now through Christmas they’re running a sale where you get 50% off your purchase. FIFTY PERCENT!

Gifts that Will Rock a White Elephant Party

The first White Elephant party I ever attended taught me a valuable lesson after the first gift was opened…

Don’t go for the largest gift.

I sat there and watched as a very excited member of the youth group, dove into the pile of gifts and tore open the largest one there. My first thought was that I had missed out. I was sad and wanted a do over. Then she pulled out what had been wrapped – it was a carburetor. Used (because a new one would have made all the difference). And in that moment I made a mental note to never ever go for the largest gift.

With that strategy in mind, I’ve come away from most White Elephant parties pretty happy. Except for that one time when I got underwear…

Never the less! Tis the season for these crazy gift exchanges and I want to give you some great ideas so you can walk away a rockstar…I guess you would have to grab your own gift for that (I won’t tell if you don’t).

All of these fabulous gifts can be found at Mori Luggage and Gifts in West Town Mall!

One: It magnifies your phone screen in the cutest way possible.

Two: Let the recipient of this gift be Houdini for a minute or two while they try to break him out of “impossible” scenarios.

Three: People might laugh at this way to keep track of your phone or keys, but inside everyone will be thinking, “I NEED THAT.”

Four: It’s a vase you can color. Hello?! That’s awesome.

Five: A waterproof speaker fits everyone’s life.

Six: A purse light that turns on when being bumped will either be a life saver or a total annoyance. Let the recipient figure out which.

Here’s a great party game to play that doesn’t involve buying gifts.

A quick scroll through Instagram and you’re tripping over gift guides. But how many of them are carefully put together for your cousin who came from Philadelphia with their dog Trix who is into glamour and smelling good?! Right? You’re welcome.

Let’s dive into this bad boy. All of these gifts can be easily, conveniently and warmly picked up at West Town Mall…

This is not a bracelet. It’s for your CAR. Finally Yankee Candle has gotten all my letters and created a pretty car scent! Dangle it from your rear view mirror and your friend will be driving through fields of daisy’s all season long.

Ann Taylor fur stole – to make your friend feel like she’s Lucy Ricardo and she found it in the piano where Ricky hid it to give to her on her anniversary #ILOVELUCY. It is beautiful and makes a glamorous alternative to a scarf!

Gift the gift of cute in every area of life with this great Vera Bradley curling iron case.

It’s a gold sequin tumbler. If she has a pulse, she should love it. Stop by Francesca’s for your own…er…I mean your friends gift *WINK.

Everyone has THAT friend whose phone is always low on power. Get that friend this bag from The Limited that will recharge her phone inside of it. It’s also great for the friends who want to feel like MacGyver. (If they don’t know who that is, I’m sorry, that’s a whole other gift list).

Face masks are the best. I mean it. I wear one once a week now and pretend like I’m at a spa (speaking of which, another great gift idea here). These are a fabulous and rare pack from Sephora so snatch one up for your beauty-loving friends.

Gift the gift of glow with this set from Bare Minerals. Who doesn’t want to look like they’re walking around in ambient lighting at all times!? Arlight then, glow get ’em!

Dogs are people too! Well, dogs HAVE people too and how could you not love someone more if they got you something cute for their dog from Altar’d State?

Judgement-Free Zone for Last Minute Shoppers

The reason for the sporadic posting this week, is due to the fact that I’ve still got a Christmas gift list with items that haven’t been crossed out. It seems every time I go out to shop, the entire town decides to accompany me and getting any where is slowed to a crawl.

Last night, I missed buying three gifts by a matter of seconds as the couple who made it to the product table before I did grabbed the last of what I needed. Oh well.

There’s no good reason to get upset about it, everything will get done. And sitting in traffic just allows me to enjoy the Christmas lights and songs on the radio longer. Since I didn’t shop as long as planned last night, I did come home and wrap what I do have done. Never in the history of ever has their been wrapped presents under my tree before Christmas Eve, so I’m enjoying the juice out of that!

If you’ve still got shopping to do, if you have someone on your list you still don’t have ideas for (raises hand – I’ve got one of those), or if you’re done and already wondering how to spend those impending gift cards, take a look at the gifts I’ve scoured West Town Mall for…

Spend Less than $25 with These

You know what’s great about Christmas Hallmark movies? No matter when you turn the movie on, you can be caught up on everything that’s happening in about 30 seconds. Even if it’s the middle of the movie. The only variables are job titles and who the kid belongs to. That’s about it.

But that’s why I love them so much! Thanks to Hallmark at Christmas time, there’s always something warm and fuzzy to watch.

I turned one on the other day where the girl was achieving her dream of becoming a personal shopper. Yadda, yadda, yadda she got the guy in the end.

Now let me do a little personal shopping for you. I’ve got gift ideas and all of them are under $25 and found at the one stop shop…West Town Mall.

christmas gifts under 25, christmas gift ideas, aerie pajamas, gold leaf tray, led lights, over the knee socks, banana republic socks, forever21 bag, large black tote, beauty blender, night vision goggles, mori luggage and gifts, knoxville fashion blogger, knoxville beauty blogger, west town mall

One: String lights from Garage. Cute little LED lights your loved one can stick almost anywhere and add a little happy. It’s great for a person who notices atmosphere as these will add the perfect dash of cozy.

Two: This is a feather tray from Fiore. If you know someone decorates with gold, this would add such a glamorous touch to their home.

Three: Socks are notoriously the gift that gets the fake reaction, but these over the knee socks from Banana Republic just might elicit an actual happy face! (Keep the receipt just in case ;)

Four: Night. Vision. Goggles. What warm-blooded human being wouldn’t find these to be the coolest things on the planet?! Whoever it is that wouldn’t love them, you don’t need them in your life. Weed out the bad eggs with this present.

Five: Beauty Blender from Sephora. Change the way your friends apply makeup and clear out your mailbox for the slew of thank you cards that will ensue. Seriously.

Six: Giant tote from Forever21 is the perfect gift for someone you don’t really know. Because who doesn’t need a large tote?* (*This from someone who hoards bags like Twinkies. She thinks we will all need them someday. I don’t know what day, but one day it will happen when we all need large bags, “You’ll see!!!” – something she yells out while slowly sinking into her large bag collection).

Seven: Aerie has their pj bottoms on sale for $20. Snatch some up and earn yourself the nickname PJ McFancy Bottoms. #worthit
