It’s a guarantee that years from now we’re going to look back at the current pattern mixing trend and giggle in our space suites saying, “that was SO 2011!”

Until then, if you’re wanting to break into that trend (and I’m saying only because you want to, not because it’s a trend) or if you want to introduce your closet to a pattern period, a good one to start with is leopard.

Why? Because it goes with e-v-er-y-thing.

If you’ll notice, the colors in the pattern are black, brown, and almost a nude brown.  Those are like the three strongest neutrals out there.  And if there’s one thing we know about neutrals, it’s that we can pair them with anything.  No matter the color, no matter the hue leopard is the go to pattern.

Fortunately for us it can be found on everything these days so it’s not hard to integrate into our rotation.  AND it will jazz up an otherwise boring outfit.
